So your probably thinking, “why a picture of a cemetery?” When I was younger, my family did not have much money and on those days when we just needed to get out of the house my mother would take us to walk around cemeteries. There are many cemeteries in Charleston, South Carolina and its surrounding areas. I could spend hours and still can, reading tombstones. They are a little piece of someone’s history. This is how my passion for history started.

Today, I am a full-time student at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia working towards a Bachelors of Arts in History, with a concentration in teaching. In my spare time I read and travel as much as much as possible so that I can bring you little tidbits of history from around the globe.
